Half of oil pipelines to be empty by years end, toilet paper sales fall

Basin Business Report

NEW YORK, New York (Nexstar) – Nearly half of the oil pipelines in the Permian Basin will be empty by the end of the year.

Analytics and executives say the pandemic crushed the energy sector and both have struggled to recover fully leaving the pipelines empty, according to the Texas Business Report from Jane King.

Meanwhile, toilet paper sales fell in January.

King reports that sales fell about 14 percent at the beginning of the year and 33 percent in March following the pandemic-fueled frenzy.
