Eddy Shelton: The Man in Charge

He is a County Commissioner - and a Big 12 Referee

ODESSA, TX (Local 2/Fox 24) - You can find him with a seat at the table in local government meetings - and you can find him on the turf in the fall.

Eddy Shelton serves as Ector County Commissioner for Precinct One - which includes Ratliff Stadium. He also works as a college football referee. He is a crew chief in the Big 12 conference. You can find him in the white hat making the penalty calls often on national TV.

He said he is a manager of managers. He runs two businesses, his referee crew and he helps make important decisions for Ector County.

"Every aspect of my life, I'm head of the complaint department," Shelton said.

Shelton is born and raised in Odessa. He played football for Odessa High. He started officiating high school football in 1995 before eventually moving to the college ranks.
