6A State Swimming Results: Midland High's Garrett Martin Wins Boys 1-Meter Dive

AUSTIN, Texas - (Local 2/Fox 24) - The 6A state swimming championships were held Saturday in Austin and one Midland High diver, bringing home a state title. MHS' Garrett Martin won state in the boys one-meter dive final. You'll remember, Martin's the diver we profiled earlier this week, who's been through four open-heart surgeries in his lifetime.
 
Other results with local ties are as follows:
 
MHS: Kile Carriger - 13th in the Consolation Final of the Girls 200 IM - 12th in the Consolation Final of the Girls 100-yard Breaststroke 
 
MHS: Braden Vines - 5th in the Championship Final of the Boys 200 IM - 3rd in the Championship Final of the Boys 100-yard Breaststroke
 
MHS: Grayson Jones - 19th in the Boys 1-Meter Dive
 
MHS: Mollie Wright - 13th in the Girls 500-Yard Freestyle
 
MHS: Girls Relay team - 15th in the 200 Medley
 
Midland Lee: Charlye  Campbell - 6th in the Girls 1-Meter Dive
