UTPB to Break Ground on Engineering Building

MIDLAND, Texas (Local 2/Fox 24) - The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is expanding. 

On Friday the university will officially break ground on a new building dedicated to various engineering studies. 

Officials say the facility will cater to mechanical, petroleum and aerospace engineering programs. 

The groundbreaking ceremony is set for 11 a.m. Friday  at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center. 

Officials say construction will begin in late April and is set to be completed in April 2019
