Convicted Felon Found with Drugs, Weapons During Traffic Stop

ODESSA, Texas (Local 2/Fox 24) - A traffic stop in Odessa Wednesday ended with the arrest of a convicted felon who was reportedly found with drugs and weapons. 

Around 8:35 a.m. Wednesday a an Odessa Police officer noticed the driver of a Ford Mercury run a red light, according to a report. 

Officials stopped the driver, later identified as Tony Tucker, in the area of 31st Street and Walnut Avenue. 

During the stop, officers noticed ammo in the floorboard and a knife in Tucker's lap at the time of the stop, according to the release. 

Tucker was later found with a loaded handgun as well as 10 grams of methamphetamine, police say. 

During the investigation, officers also learned that Tuckers was a convicted felon. 

As such, officers arrested Tucker charging him with manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
