Officer Involved Shooting in Pecos Co. Leaves 1 Man Dead

FORT STOCKTON, Texas (Local 2/Fox 24) - Sheriff Dodson says one man is in custody in relation to this officer involved shooting.

One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Pecos County.

Brewster County Sheriff Ronnie Dodson confirms a high speed chase led law enforcement 6-8 miles south of Fort Stockton on highway 385 on Saturday.

Sheriff Dodson says the suspect was shot and killed after raising his weapon and pointing it at deputies.

One Brewster Co. Deputy and two from Pecos Co. were involved, and it's unknown who fired their weapon.

The man killed in the shooting is unidentified at this time. 

No deputies were injured in the incident.
