MPD Re-Launches "Cop in a Shop" Program

MIDLAND, Texas (Local 2/Fox 24) - Midland Police officers are going back undercover. 

According to the department, the city is re-launching the “Cop in a Shop” program. 

The program places Midland Police officers inside of local convenience stores to prevent crimes from occurring.  

Officials with the department said prior to initially launching the program, they had about ten convenience store robberies and had none after the program was announced.
