Lea County Deputies to Receive Radar Units

LEA COUNTY, New Mexico (Local 2/Fox 24) - The Lea County Sheriff's Office will soon have a new tool in their arsenal. 

According to a release, the LCSO has received funding to purchase 32 in car radar units from the Lea County Commission. 

Sheriff Byron Wester says he is "thankful for the support from the Commission and the public for the funds."

The radar units, according to the release, will allow deputies to enforce additional traffic violations within the county.
