Andrews Police Looking for Driver Who Hit 7-Year-Old Boy on a Bicycle; Driver Fled the Scene

ANDREWS, Texas - (Local 2/FOX 24) - A hit and run happened Sunday in Andrews, involving a 7-year-old boy on a bicycle. See below the full press release, provided by Andrews Police Chief Ronny McCarver:
 
"The Andrews Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual driving  the vehicle involved in a hit and run vehicle / bicycle accident involving a 7 year old male which occurred around 1:15 pm 3/26/2017 at the intersection of South Main and Ave E, Andrews, Texas.  After the accident the driver of the vehicle involved exited the vehicle and walked back to the injured child before returning to the vehicle and leaving the scene.  The vehicle is believed to be a 2014-2016 white Nissan Altima or Maxima four door passenger car with front right damage to the hood and grill.  See attached screen shot photos of the suspect and suspect vehicle.

The 7 year old child was air lifted to Lubbock University Medical Center.  Condition is unknown."
